I'm sure you've seen these before, but I wanted to share and break down how these Jackpot Candles work in case you haven't gotten them before or don't know the details and are curious. Maybe you've been wanting to get your own but don't know if it's worth it, or the process is a bit intimidating. That's how it was for me the first time. Like, is the candle going to last long enough? Do I have to worry about the ring burning? I'm realizing maybe I just overthink things, and maybe you do, too! So here is how the process went.
This is from their site with a mini breakdown of how it works: Each candle, wax tart, and bath bomb has a jewelry surprise in it that is worth $15 - $5,000. The candles are 100% soy, hand poured and made in the USA, and are long lasting.
I've only tried the candles, but I'm hoping to try the others in the future. Let me know in the comments if you've tried any and your thoughts! I'd love to hear about your experience. We've used 4 candles now with a few more incoming.
The wood wick candles that I have gotten so far do need to be trimmed before burning. They need to be pretty short and it's a little hard to cut with scissors so I use some nail clippers. You don't want to dig for the rings, but I've found them to be behind the label glued in place, so once it burns down low enough you can blow the candle out so you don't burn yourself, and I use craft popsicle sticks to get it out. You want to make sure all the wax around the ring is melted. The picture above shows where the jewelry was. The foil ripped off a bit when I pulled it off of the large candle. The jewelry is in a little baggie wrapped in a colored foil to keep it safe. Once you take the jewelry out, it will have a tag on it with an alphanumeric code to enter into their site to appraise its value.
Here is a ring from one of the travel tins, and this one was appraised at $40.
And this is what the appraisal screen looks like. I did reach out to Jackpot Candles to ask a bit more about the quality of the jewelry and how appraisal works. I will update this once I get a response.
Our thoughts: I burn my candles often and leave them on all day at my desk while I work and game, and I think one candle typically lasts a month for me. I'm used to going through a few candles every month, so the fact that these last for so long is really nice. The rings feel like they are really high quality. I'll list the ones we got and our quick thoughts on the scent below.
Would I buy again and why: Yes, because not only do they smell great, they last longer than would be expected. The scents aren't overpowering, but the smell does last even when the candle isn't burning. The ring is an awesome bonus, too, and all the rings have been so pretty. I already ordered another batch of candles and they just got here so you can unbox them with me on Youtube!
I do have an affiliate code where you can get 25% off your purchase if you are planning to get the candles. My code is ANNACLELLAND25, and it works on everything but subscriptions. If you get a candle, I'd love to hear your thoughts or see your ring reveal so make sure to tag me @love_batsy. And check out my Instagram to see my ring reveals as I use the candles.

The candles we got so far in the first batch:
Travel Three Pack Dessert Tins - we've burned two of these and they are so fragrant that you could honestly leave the top of the tin off without burning it and it makes the whole room smell like it. They are small and perfect for gifts and each one has a ring in it. The only downsides are that it's mystery ring sizes.
Mystery Wooden Wick Candle - We've burned this one completely and I liked it enough I got another. There is something so great about the mix of scents and I'm hoping the second one is just as good.
Mermaid Daydream Wooden Wick Candle - I got this because it was mermaid, but the scent is so soft and soothing. I'm a big fan of this one.
Warm Apple Pie Wooden Wick Candle - we got this for our mother, who likes candles with a lot of spice in it and this was perfect. She's burned it a bit but I think she's taking her time going through it and she's looking forward to the ring.
